Pupils respect other religions and customs and are
Ofsted 2015strongly of the view that any intolerance is wrong, unacceptable and needs to be challenged.
Simon Marks Jewish Primary School has good relationships with a wide range of secondary schools including Jewish schools, local Hackney schools and selective entry schools further afield.
In recent years, a number of our pupils have gone onto JFS, JCoSS, King Solomon and Hasmonean while others have progressed to Mossbourne Academy, Stoke Newington School and Skinners Academy. For particularly high-ability pupils, the school has supported their applications to selective entry schools such as Latymer Grammar, Highgate, City of London and Forest.
For Year 5 and 6 parents and carers, the school holds meetings with Headteachers from Jewish secondary schools and publicises information about open days at these and other local schools. Details will be sent home in a letter with pupils as well as posted on the website.
Secondary school applications are administered centrally. For further information please refer to www.eadmissions.org.uk or contact Headteacher Mrs Gulcan Asdoyuran.
