In September 2023 Simon Marks opened its Additional Resource Provision for pupils with Autism.
We now have a capacity for 12 pupils with Autism who struggle in a mainstream classroom.
Our resource base has two classrooms which take into consideration the needs of the pupils. We aim to ensure maximum learning takes place.
We have a speech and language therapist alongside and educational psychologist available to support the pupils as needed. There is also a dedicated Autism specialist team from Hackney Education available for additional support and advice.
Our specialist teachers give targeted support and facilitate learning for our autistic pupils.
