Parents

Pupils are typically polite, courteous, and greet visitors by happily welcoming them and explaining their work. They play happily together and take responsibility for resolving any falling-out amicably.

Parents and Carers

At Simon Marks Jewish Primary School we value highly the relationship between the school and the parent body. As a one-form entry school, it doesn’t take long for new parents and carers to feel part of our welcoming family community.

Throughout the school year, we organise a number of family events for us to get to know each other better and to help us understand each other’s priorities and motivations. These are organised by both the school leadership and by the Friends of Simon Marks.

Each Friday, parents and carers receive Newsnotes, a popular means of keeping everyone up-to-date. Parents and carers are welcomed into the school for the many special events we hold and to volunteer to help with reading, the library or to accompany trips. Once you join our school you immediately belong to a much larger family.

This section of our website is designed for parents and carers to be able to access easily practical information about the school. If there is any question you can’t find the answer to here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Parent View is an Ofsted website which collects the views of parents and carers views about their school. It is a simple online questionnaire which asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of our school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. Ofsted will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when. You can contribute to Parent View here.
