‘It was a great honour to receive the Silver and Gold award at the Mayor’s Healthy Schools London Celebration event last Thursday at City Hall. Simon Marks Jewish Primary School is the only school in Hackney to have achieved the Gold award and so it was an extremely proud moment for me and Ms Osborne to receive this reward on behalf of our school. This would not have been possible without the children’s efforts throughout the year, the continuous support from parents as well as all staff – well done! The speakers included Leon Taylor, Olympic Medallist, Performance & Wellness Coach and Mentor and Joanne McCartney, Deputy Mayor for London and London Assembly Member.’ Syed Gilani.
